Villa Amanecer de los Suenos – The House of the Sunrise of Dreams - is located in the Bahia de los Sueños – The Bay of Dreams – the most exclusive residential community in Baja California Sur It is located on a pristine stretch of the Sea of Cortez, 45 miles Southeast of La Paz. The villa is an easy 45-minute drive from the La Paz International Airport.

Villa Amanecer de los Suenos is a four-suite luxury villa which boasts an unobstructed 180-degree view of the Sea of Cortez. Each day begins with a magnificent sunrise; the horizon broken only by the silhouette of the pangas of local fishermen heading out to sea. Whales and schools of fish can be seen from your lounge chair next to our spectacular and soothing saltwater pool. Meals can be enjoyed in the brick-domed great room with 10-foot sliding glass doors that disappear into the walls, welcoming the beauty of the Baja inside. You will also want to try dining on the beautiful back patio with its imposing rock wall, flowers, and trees. Many evenings end watching a movie on our spectacular state-of-the-art entertainment system.

Besides its stunning natural beauty, the Bay of Dreams is known for world-class sport fishing and diving. Marlin, Dorado, Wahoo, Yellowtail and Tuna are the expected ‘catch of the day’ depending upon the season. We have two boats – a 23 foot twin-engine cabin cruiser, and a 23’ foot super panga available for charter. Each of our boats is captained by experienced local fishermen who know how to fish these waters safely and successfully year round. Skin and SCUBA diving charters are also available year round in the fabulous Sea of Cortez – a place Jacque Cousteau called the “aquarium of the world.” Whether you decide to dive the fish-rich waters off Cerralvo Island for Pargo and giant Cabrilla or snorkel at the mouth of the Bay minutes from shore, you will have an adventure that you will never forget in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

ATV tours are also available. You can explore the many private beaches that line the Bay of Dreams or speed across the miles of sandy beaches that separate the Bay from Las Ventanas, a world famous windsurfing destination located 15 minutes away.

Bay of Dreams Living Information

Bahia de los Sueños (Bay of Dreams) is a 4300 acre private development located 45 minutes southeast of La Paz. Situated on a 6.6 mile stretch of the serene Sea of Cortez, life moves at a different pace. Watch the sunrise over the water, fish for big game in the azure blue waters, or simply relax on the white sand beaches.

The Bay of Dreams will be home to one of the finest private residential communities in the world. Several multi-million dollar estates have been completed, with many more currently breaking ground. The construction of an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Doak has begun and is scheduled for completion in 2008. There are unlimited hiking trails to explore or take an ATV adventure to Los Barriles for the day.

The famous Giggling Marlin has opened a restaurant right on the beach, where you will be greeted by Teddy and his wonderful staff. The food is excellent and provides all the atmosphere one could ask for, complete with gear to hang upside down for a tequila popper. Yearly events at the bay are already well established like the annual July fourth fishing tournament, where everyone is welcome to participate.

There is a second restaurant, “The Train Center,” located on the beautifully landscaped grounds of Casa de los Sueños.

The Bay of Dreams is accessible directly by air with it own private 5000 ft airstrip. For widely available commercial flights it’s only a 45 minute drive from La Paz or 2 hours from the San Jose del Cabo airport

We are sitting by the pool reflecting on our wonderful stay here. We couldn’t have wished for a better way to start our honeymoon. It was the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate after all the stress of the wedding. From swimming to fishing to cruising around on the Rhino – we had a great time every day. Even when we were just hanging out, we still had this amazing view and perfect weather all week. It is easy to see why this place is so special to you. Everyone here was so warm and welcoming and we can’t imagine having had as great of a trip – without Sergio’s help. We have had such a wonderful, memorable visit to la Bahia de los Suenos. Right from the very first moment, it has been an adventure – we will never forget! We have enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the BOD and yet, we have managed to keep five teenagers fully engaged and happy (no easy feat)! Sergio and Ramon prepared an authentic Mexican Fiesta birthday party – complete with piñata! -- for the youngest in our group – and it is one more outstanding memory from this trip. Hugo is a master – so we all go home successful fishermen. Teddy and the crew at GM made us welcome from the first moment. Everything has been artfully arranged to insure our satisfaction, and we have sincerely appreciated it. We have enjoyed a vacation like no other

What a treat to stay for a week in this gorgeous home! The weather has been perfect; the heated pool was a hit with all of us. The boys especially waited for adults to join them – morning, noon and night! The fishing was spectacular! Every one of us caught fish, in the end the contest became – who caught the biggest 40+ pounder yellowtail! Sierras are yummy and we barbequed our tuna! The sky put on a great show. The first evening when the moon wasn’t full – you felt like you could reach up and pull the stars down. We had one cloudy evening – so only caught a glimpse of the lunar eclipse. We saw lots of birds, road runners, pelicans – but the treat was to be in the midst of pods of hundreds of dolphins – chasing after the schools of silvery mackerel – that we could almost touch. Hugo is a master fisherman; he never disappointed! Stars are best at 5:30am – Sunrises- fabulous - best on the water at 6:50am Sergio and his staff have been very good to us -- attentive, helpful and always there for us – gracias.
